When it comes to granite, it becomes a little more difficult to repair. The work just requires a two-part epoxy, boat-building epoxy is good. You should cleanse the area with alcohol and let it thoroughly dry. Then, put fiberglass tape on the bottom of the tub or sink and pour the epoxy, starting from the top, into the crack. Wipe up any excess. Allow it to dry for twenty-four hours and then it should be as good as new. Call the manufacturer or factory who made the brand of tub or sink to be certain about fixing it that way before beginning any Porcelain Tub Repair project. If your porcelain tub has some scratches, you can also either have someone repair it for you for a hefty fee, replace it for a more expensive idea, or find a home kit that will help you understand how to easily resurface the tub yourself. There are some good kits out there that are not hard to use and the results are fantastic. You can even change the color of the porcelain with a good refinishing kit and it will look like new.
