Enjoy The Luxury Of An Americast Bathtub

When remodeling a bathroom, there are many decisions to make, with the bathtub being one of the most important. There are many different styles of bathtubs available, including walk in tubs and those with a built in spa feature. Many people choose the Americast Bathtub by American Standard because it’s a lightweight, yet durable alternative to cast iron.

The Americast Bathtub is made using a material called Americast and it's manufactured exclusively by American Standard. After 7 years of testing and research, the Americast tubs were offered to the public. The three-layer construction of the tub is unique. The smooth finish of enamel and porcelain is bound to a layer of high quality alloy, which is backed by structures that's injection molded. This rich enamel finish is available in a variety of colors and provides superior heat retention. The process used to manufacture these bathtubs creates a product that weighs half as much as a cast iron tub and allows for a deeper bathing space. Because there is no liner, repair is simple.

The first Americast Bathtub that was released was the Princeton model. This model continues to be a big seller and is now available in six styles. Additional features have been added to the original design, like the Luxury Ledge that serves to hold toiletries.

The Americast Bathtub is fairly easy to install. Homeowners that have basic construction skills can handle the task, but those that are uncomfortable with the installation process can hire a contractor for the job. Currently, there are three Americast models to choose from.

Princeton– This model features a slip resistant surface, glossy porcelain finish, built-in lumber support, and a beveled headrest. This tub is available in several colors, including White, Bone, Fawn Beige, Silver, Black, and Linen.

Stratford– This bathtub features a slip resistant surface and the signature glossy porcelain finish. It is available in several colors including Bone, Arctic, Fawn Beige, Linen, White, and Silver. This Americast bathtub is ideal for those homeowners that are looking for a spa tub because there is a model available with a whirlpool feature.

Cambridge– This is the 5-foot model that's used across the globe in a variety of commercial institutions because of its rugged construction. This tub offers an optional whirlpool feature and is available in several colors, including Black, White, Bone, Fawn Beige, Silver, and Linen.

The Americast Bathtub is easy to clean and maintain. The manufacturer recommends using non abrasive cleaners such as ZUD, Spic 'N Span, or Bon Ami.  Simply apply the cleanser to a wet surface and wipe it clean.  Scouring pads or other abrasive materials should be avoided.

The Americast Bathtub by American Standard comes with a limited lifetime warranty, allowing you to purchase this product with confidence.
